ENG_ Kombucha is an ancient drink known for improving the digestive function of the body. It is produced by fermenting tea with a cultivation of yeast and bacteria. With growing popularity, IKAL ("in search of the spirit" in the Mayan language) is one of the first brands to offer this drink to the Mexican Southeast market. For the logo and the packaging of the product, a color palette that symbolizes transcendence, violet and earth tones, has been taken as a reference, as a metaphor for the relationship between humans and the cosmos through ancient beliefs about immortality. The abstract illustrations are flexible, with the intention of allowing the use of new tones as the brand grows and new flavors are integrated different from the original presentation.
ESP_ Kombucha es una bebida milenaria conocida por mejorar la función del cuerpo. Se produce fermentando té con un cultivo de levadura y bacterias. Con una creciente popularidad, IKAL ("en busca del espíritu" en idioma maya) es una de las primeras marcas en ofrecer esta bebida al mercado del Sureste mexicano. Para el logotipo y el empaque del producto, se ha tomado como referente una paleta de colores que simboliza la trascendencia, tonos violetas y tierra, como metáfora de la relación entre los humanos y el cosmos a través creencias antiguas sobre la inmortalidad. Las ilustraciones abstractas son flexibles, con la intención de permitir el uso de nuevos tonos a medida que la marca crezca y se integren nuevos sabores distintos a la presentación original.
